Buy & sell second-hand kids' clothes, toys & gear — with families nearby.

Kiddel is the family-first second-hand marketplace for kids' clothes, toys, and baby gear — a calmer way to buy and pass things on with neighbours nearby. Fewer bin bags in the hallway, a little less weight on parents' shoulders.

Kids grow fast. Parents are left to figure it out.

A three-year-old can blow through three clothing sizes in a single year. Most families quietly absorb that — buying cheap, barely-worn clothes new, on repeat — because the alternatives ask too much. The platforms we already have (eBay, Vinted, the usual Facebook groups) weren't built with parents in mind. No real size ranges, no age filters, no feel for what's seasonally useful or actually safe for a small child.

Raising kids is one of the most important things people do, and one of the least supported. Childcare is patchy, parental leave is short, and the practical day-to-day help that close families used to give each other has thinned out. We can't fix any of that. We can make one small corner of it easier.

Why we started Kiddel

We're two cousins. One of us works in tech; the other works alongside adults with disabilities — people the system tends to push to the edges. Our family is the kind that shows up for each other: weeknight dinners, late phone calls, hand-me-downs passed across half a city. Watching the parents around us, we kept seeing the same thing: stretched too thin, with too little practical help from the systems around them.

Kiddel is our small contribution. We're not chasing a market — we're trying to make a few specific parts of parenting genuinely easier. The bag of outgrown clothes by the door. The stroller you'd happily hand to a neighbour if you knew which one. The bouncer your toddler used for six weeks. The kind of practical help close families used to give each other naturally, made a little easier to do at scale.

How it works

Snap & Sell

Photo in, listing out. Our AI drafts the title, size, and age range in seconds — because no parent has time for a form.

📍

Local First

Browse families in your neighbourhood, not a warehouse in another country. Most handoffs happen on the way to the park or at the school gate.

Gentler all round

Every item that finds another family is one less thing bought new — kinder on parents' wallets, and a bit kinder on the planet too.

Common questions

Is Kiddel a Vinted for kids?

Sort of — both let families resell what they no longer need. Vinted is built for fashion at scale; Kiddel is built around how parents actually shop, with real age ranges, size filters, and a focus on neighbours nearby rather than a warehouse three countries away.

Where can I buy second-hand kids' clothes, toys, and baby gear?

Kiddel is built specifically for second-hand kids' clothes, toys, strollers, bouncers, books, and the rest of the gear small children outgrow in months. Listings are local first, so most handoffs happen on the way to the park or at the school gate.

How is Kiddel different from Facebook Marketplace, eBay, or Kleinanzeigen?

Generic marketplaces don't know that a 'size 86' is roughly a 12–18-month-old. Kiddel listings are organised by age, size, season, and category — and our AI drafts the listing from a single photo, so a bag of outgrown clothes takes seconds to post, not an evening.

When does Kiddel launch?

iOS and Android are in the final polish. The App Store and Google Play listings go live in the coming weeks — bookmark this page or follow @kiddelapp to be the first to download it.

Is Kiddel free for families?

Yes — listing and browsing on Kiddel is free. We're not chasing fast-fashion resellers; we want it to feel like passing things between neighbours.
